Henry County, Iowa - Veterans Affairs
When you come into Henry
County Veterans Service Office you will be assisted by our County Veteran
Service Officer. The VSO has a compassionate understanding of the issues which
confront veterans, widows, and dependants. The County VSO knows the extent, the
meaning, and application of laws that have been passed by the U.S. Congress in
the interests of veterans and dependants. They also know the rules and
regulations adopted by the Department of Veterans Affairs to clarify and
implement those laws. The County VSO will apply specialized knowledge to the
needs of every individual veteran or other beneficiary who comes to the office
for assistance.
Henry County, along with all counties in Iowa, is
required to have a Nationally Certified VSO by the National Association of
County Veteran Service Officers to assist you with your veteran’s benefits.
Henry County Veterans Affairs also offers General Assistance for qualified
veterans residing in Henry County. Rick Van Winkle is the Nationally Certified
Henry County Veterans Service Officer. Henry County Veteran Affairs
