 Henry County General
Assistance provides funding assistance for rent, utilities, indigent burial,
limited medical, limited transportation and determines eligibility for State
Quota medical treatment at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.
Applicants must be residents of Henry County and meet eligibility requirements
for assistance.
Assistance is not provided on an ongoing basis.
What is the Iowa Medication Voucher Program?
The Iowa
Prescription Drug Corporation in partnership with the Iowa Collaborative Safety
Net Provider Network is making available the Iowa Medication Voucher Program.
The program is a prescription medication program designed to assist low income
Iowans with the purchase of a prescription from a limited medication formulary.
With your Health Care provider prescription you may be eligible to get a 90 day
supply of any medication on the medication formulary for the treatment of
Diabetes, Hypertension/High Blood Pressure, Elevated Cholesterol, Depression and
Pregnancy/Prenatal.
To be eligible for the program you must be an Iowa resident, uninsured,
underinsured and in financial need.
With a Medication Voucher and a prescription from your health care provider you
will receive a 90 day supply at a cost of $3.00 when a prescription and
Medication Voucher is presented and filled at a participating pharmacy.

Iowa Prescription Discount Card
The Iowa Prescription Drug
Corporation (IPDC), an Iowa-based, not-for-profit organization launched a
medication discount card targeting patients who are uninsured or underinsured
preventing access to the medications they need. This program was developed in
conjunction with the Iowa Collabrative Safety Net Provider Network and MedOne
healthcare systems.
One card may be utilized for a whole family. There is no fee to patients for
this card and no age or income requirements.
IPDC has worked diligently to
ensure the maximum discount for patients while ensuring that the community
pharmacies are receiving a competitive dispensing fee.
